We have hosted two separate groups in the past week, one from a retirement village in Waikanae and a group of over 60s from Whanganui. The group from Whanganui had never been to our museum and they were totally blown away by our displays and artifact presentation. One woman remarked “I don’t like museums, but this is the best one I have ever seen and I have thoroughly enjoyed it”. We aim to please! One of the biggest highlights for both groups was the demonstration of the old gramophone playing ‘Sally’ by Gracie Fields.
