About

Our Statement of Purpose.

The purpose of the Kapiti Coast Museum is to collect, preserve, display and give access to the public material and information relating to the natural, social and cultural heritage of the Kapiti Coast district.

We aim to provide public and community access to the collections, without compromising the physical and cultural well-being of those collections.

We recognise all cultures in the community while at the same time acknowledging the special place of Taonga Maori.
