The Kapiti Coast Museum, based in Waikanae, has reluctantly decided to deaccession over 50 ham-radio objects it has held since the 1980s. Mark Holland, the Museum’s management committee chairman, said that the small local museum no longer has the expertise, storage or display space to be able to continue to look after all the objects, many of which are part of the Jock White Collection.
The museum is offering the objects back to known donors with the balance being offered to other interested parties. Photographs of the objects concerned are below here
Please contact Mark Holland at manager@kapiticoastmuseum.org.nz by the end of June if you have any questions or wish to register your interest in obtaining a specific object. Please include the image number of each object.
